Happy 2022!

A bit late, but better late than never!

I can finally see the light at the end of a family obligations tunnel. This means I have some space to reach out to y’all to wish you well and update you on my classes.

Zoom Nia and Ageless Grace

I’ve stopped my Thursday Zoom Nia class, but my Tuesday Nia group is going strong. I love that Zoom allows me to teach to students near and far from the safety of our homes. Ageless Grace is still super fun on Zoom and allows my Mom to join my classes.

In-Person Nia Classes

I am still teaching at the Cary Senior Center and Sertoma Arts Center. The great news is both locations now have drop-ins!

Drop-ins are once again an option for my Cary class. There was a brief pause in the Fall, but they’re back.

At Sertoma, we are experimenting with drop-ins instead of whole sessions. For simplicity’s sake, there is no price difference per class for single classes versus multiple classes. Drop-ins are only $8 each until summer classes start, when they go up to $10 each. Sign up online or in-person for one—or as many as you like. I’ve wanted my Nia students to have the option of popping in and dancing with me anytime instead of having to sign up for a whole session.

Differences

There are a few key differences between my classes in Cary and Raleigh. Masks are optional during classes in the Cary Senior Center. It’s a nice space to dance in with a large mirror and windows. Masks are required at Sertoma, where we dance in an enormous space with wall art that changes periodically.

They are both great spaces to dance in!

Shout out to my Y Nia community!

I think about y’all all the time. I’m still keeping my eyes open for a new space downtown for us to meet up and dance in. Hopefully, by summer, I should have more time and availability to make that happen. Drop in and dance with me sometime at my current locations or on Zoom until then.

My husband, David Spratte, took the picture above on New Year’s Eve. I love living downtown! We could see this ferris wheel around the corner and down the street from where we live. The vision cast a magical wish on the year to come. Here’s to what else is possible!
