Learning Resilience
I am in the process of learning the Nia routine Resilience. I love the music. Some of the moves are challenging me. When it takes me a bit to learn, it wakes up my beginner’s mind. This is a great way to put myself in my students’ shoes and do what I can to simplify a move, so it’s easier to learn.
The focus and imagery in this routine are so fitting for the last couple of years we have been through. As the percentage of people with COVID decreases, it feels good to have a bit more freedom to eat in restaurants and enjoy hanging out with friends again. I remain a bit cautious in the company of those I don’t know by keeping my distance and wearing my mask when I can’t.
I look forward to sharing this routine with you soon! In the meantime, you can dance along below. Enjoy an extended version here.
