SoulCollage and Inner Warriors
The above image tells me I’m yearning for more travel. That works out since we are planning a trip to Spain with friends next year! The one on the right feels like my life right now: Abundant and filled with possibilities. How does it get any better than this?
I am tapping into my inner warrior to make decisions for my highest good. Inspiration is coming from a book I’m listening to on Libby called Untamed by Glennon Doyle. The women in the Olympics are already inspiring, but one moment in particular really sparks the steadfast ferocity we can call upon when we need it. Speaking of powerful women, I’m pretty excited about Kamala Harris and her choice for VP! Let’s Go!
I recently took a SoulCollage® workshop with Doreen Clark at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh. She is an awesome facilitator, a Nia enthusiast, and a fellow puzzler!
The process was neat. I enjoyed the images that spoke to me and what I put together. We chose the image and then put ourselves in the image to see what it said back to us. I have had a lot of doughnuts showing up for me—kind of like a spirit animal. Ha!
When I shared my experience in my Saturday Nia class, my students reminded me that we are surrounded by doughnuts—the whole exhibit in our dancing space!
Maybe it’s subliminal, or maybe it’s about releasing “shoulds” and “shouldn’ts.”
Dorreen has two more workshops this week.
August 14, 7–9 pm, and August 15, 1–4 pm. You can email her for more info at DRNCLRK@gmail.com.
